The Tri-County Regional Centre for Education (TCRCE) encompasses the three (3) Counties of Shelburne, Yarmouth, and Digby serving approximately 6100 students in twenty-two (22) schools, composed of 13 Elementary Schools, 6 High Schools, 1 Middle School, and 2 Elementary/High Schools.

Qualifications 

  • Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent designation in a recognized course of study in administrative support or related field;
  • Knowledge and experience working in a unionized environment;
  • Knowledge and experience in SAP;
  • Ability to work under pressure with deadlines;
  • Effective interpersonal and time management skills;
  • Accurate word processing and spreadsheet skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point;
  • Completion of WHMIS and First Aid, or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Accountabilities

 

  • Entering SAP data entries such as, but not limited to:
    • Hiring of all new employees
    • Personal and Organizational Data changes: name, address, life status, work location, work schedule, assignment
    • Leave of Absences
    • Terminations
    • CCP and Canada pension adjustments
    • Compensation and benefit adjustments
    • Quota Corrections and Time Quota Compensation
  • SAP Testing: Support pack testing, disaster recovery, test tickets;
  • Create Personnel files, school calendars;
  • Setup of employees on ESS (Employment Support Services);
  • Prepare, maintain, review and upload SAP Load Sheets for Production;
  • Prepare and maintain various spreadsheets for human resources purposes;
  • Prepare,maintain and distribute seniority lists for all employee groups;
  • Process criminal record check and child abuse register checks and maintain master list;
  • Complete personnel tasks specific to start of school year/ end of school year ;
  • Maintain the casual employee list;
  • Review ratified collective agreements to ensure SAP is correct and up-to-date
  • Work closely with Payroll, Human Resources Manager, Coordinator of Employee and Labour Relations, Personnel Officer and Director of Human Resources;
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations;
  • Perform other related duties as required.
