The Tri-County Regional Centre for Education (TCRCE) encompasses the three (3) Counties of Shelburne, Yarmouth, and Digby serving approximately 6100 students in twenty-two (22) schools, composed of 13 Elementary Schools, 6 High Schools, 1 Middle School, and 2 Elementary/High Schools.

TCRCE – Expression of interest – French Teaching Positions (90387)

 

Please be advised that the TCRCE French Second Language teachers are required to undergo a language proficiency test in order to be considered for long-term employment with the TCRCE:

 

  • All new French substitutes and teachers
  • Current permanent and probationary teachers in TCRCE who have not been teaching French and would like to move or return to a French teaching position.

 

French Language levels:

  • Core French: Advanced
  • Intensive French: Advanced Plus
  • Immersion: Superior

 

This requirement is being established to insure an appropriate level of French language proficiency. The Language Proficiency Interview will assess oral language competency according to the New Brunswick French Language Proficiency Scale (OPI).

 

To complete Language Proficiency Interview:

Apply online by creating a profile/resume - TCRCE NSTU members can go to https://jobs.ednet.ns.ca and click on Employee Access - put in your P400# and if you do not know your password, click on Forgot Password - put in your P400# and the system will send to your TCRCE email a re-set). External Caniditates can apply by submitting an online profile/resume.

 

Please Note: If you have already had a French language assessment completed with another Regional Centre for Education in Nova Scotia or you have received a DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française) certificate (minimum of Level B2), please provide the results with your application. (You can attach this information to your profile).
