Substitute Teaching Opportunities

 

Thank you for your interest in working with Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education. CCRCE employs approximately 3000 permanent staff and approximately 1000 casual/substitute employees. Our staff members work in schools, bus garages and offices throughout the region to support approximately 20,000 students in pre-primary to grade 12. With 65 schools, 4 bus garages and 4 office buildings, CCRCE has exciting employment opportunities in many different classifications.

 

CCRCE is currently accepting applications for substitute teachers. Successful candidates will be added to the substitute list for the CCRCE with flexibility to select the schools they wish to substitute in.

 

All applicants must have the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree;
  • Bachelor's of Education Degree*

*Applicants without a Bachelor of Education degree are encouraged to apply and may be eligible to apply for a Permit to Teach.

Please note that active substitute teachers within CCRCE do not need to reapply for these opportunities
