Program Manager – International Student Program Position

The Chignecto-Central International Student Program requires a non-union Program Manager. The Program Manager reports directly to the Coordinator, International Student Program and is responsible for managing a broad scope of administrative responsibilities relating to the effective delivery of services under the International Student Program. The Program Manager’s responsibilities will include developing and implementing a variety of programs for international students, acting as a resource for the Nova Scotia International Student Program (NSISP), and supporting all other activities and services relating to International students.

The Program Manager will also contribute to marketing and activities which promote the Chignecto- Central International Student Program.  The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required is essential to this position.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in a field related to education, social work, or social sciences.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a management/supervisory role preferably relating to administration of programs or services;
  • Experience in working with international cultures considered an asset.
  • Experience in programming for youth aged 13-18 years
  • Must have own car and valid driver’s license.

 

Competencies Required:

  • Demonstrated ethical and respectful professional behaviour
  • High degree of written, verbal and administrative ability.
  • Must be computer literate and have experience with databases, email, and across a variety of platforms.
  • Must demonstrate sensitivity for the requirements of international students: language difficulties, culture shock and community/school adjustment.  International experiences an asset.

SALARY:                           Non Union Pay Band 7 ($2,520.53 - $3,150.68 Bi-weekly)
