The Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education is located in beautiful Central & Northern Nova Scotia, Canada.  The Centre serves approximately 22,000 students from Grades Primary to Twelve with over 80 facilities.   This is an opportunity to professionally grow with an exciting and vibrant organization where collaboration is valued.  Applications are currently being accepted for the following position:

General Qualifications:

• Province of Nova Scotia Truck (Bus) and Transport Mechanic Certificate or enrolled in an apprenticeship program; [applicants must include a copy of Certificate, if applicable]
• Minimum of Grade 12 High School Graduation Certificate or academic equivalent through educational programs such as a Graduated Equivalent Diploma;
• Minimum of three (3) years work experience in the trade (preference for commercial/industrial/ educational settings);
• Must have training or be willing to receive training in applicable safety programs.
• Able to perform duties with minimal supervision;
• Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License - Class 2 or higher, or willing to obtain such Class.

• Other Assets:
• Ability to perform duties effectively with minimum supervision.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain relevant health and safety courses in First Aid, WHMIS, etc. or other regulatory training courses;
• Must demonstrate competency in computer skills.
• Must be proficient and knowledgeable in diagnostic systems.

Salary:     As per CUPE Collective Agreement: $34.72
