The Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education is responsible for the administration of the public school system within the boundaries of Cape Breton and Victoria Counties, supporting approximately 12,000 students in 38 schools.

ELECTRICAL PROGRAM TEACHER
Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to: Workplace Mentoring, Safety Practices, Building Codes, Generic Blueprint, Tools and Equipment, DC Theory, Series and Parallel Circuits, Conductors, Cables and Voltage Drop, Fundamental Wiring, and Raceway Installation.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor of Education Degree and Nova Scotia Teacher's License however, candidates who meet the other qualifications and are eligible for a teaching permit from Nova Scotia Teacher Certification, will be considered
- Grade 12
- Certificate of Qualification (Journeyperson) and Red Seal Certification as an Industrial or Construction Electrician.
- A minimum of eight (8) years combined training and/or current, relevant experience in Electrical/Construction/Industrial.
- Effective and written communication skills, interpersonal and problem-solving skills and competence in managing change.
- Demonstrated competence and relevant expertise in subject manner.
- Appropriate personal characteristics for instructing in a high school/vocational setting.
Salary is as per NSTU Provincial Collective Agreement
