Introduction Reporting to the Manager of Technology Infrastructure, the Information Technology Support Specialist (ITSS) is responsible for the installation and maintenance of technical and computer-related information systems within the schools of the Chignecto Central Regional Centre of Education (CCRCE). As an ITSS you represent the Information Technology Department to many stakeholders both internal and external of CCRCE and must been seen as being professional. An ITSS is to ensure technology is current, organized and must ensure technology is available and operating as expected. An ITSS will support CCRCE stakeholders with the many web applications and resources available to our staff and students.

Minimum Requirements ITSS must have the following qualifications

o Successful completion of post-secondary education in the information technology field
o High school diploma or equivalent
o CompTIA A+ certified
o Must be proficient in the diagnosis and repair of desktop computers, mobile devices such as Laptops, Tablets and Chromebooks and Multimedia projectors
o Basic understanding of LAN/WAN technology including wireless networks
o Successful completion of a criminal records check and child abuse registry check
o Experience using a ticket system recording accurate time and excellent written and logical troubleshooting steps
o Software installations and software licensing
o Ability to work at heights
o Physical ability to perform the required duties.
o Valid driver´s license and reliable vehicle.
