Qualifications:
- Journeyman’s certificate in electrical trade.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other trades, custodial staff and school administration.
- Completion of WHMIS and first aid training.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Effective interpersonal skills.

Task Dimensions:
Completes electrical and related school repairs, for example:
- Servicing and repairing pumps, motors, thermostats, ventilators, outlets, lighting fixtures other electrical devices.
Responds to after -hours facility emergencies as required.
Works cooperatively and assists other trades and maintenance staff.
Provides expertise and advice to the Coordinator of Operations on electrical issues, for example:
- Evaluating repairs or improvement.
- Reporting misuse, inadequate capacity, deterioration, or malfunction of mechanical devices.
- Identifying materials, tools, equipment, and work routines needed to work efficiently.
Ensures job related tools and equipment are well maintained, for example:
- Cleaning and returning tools after using them.
- Lubricating and adjusting shop equipment as required to keep it in good working order.
Completes work order forms and other repair records, for example:
- Recording time and material used on each assignment.
- Maintaining vehicle metrage log.
Complies with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
Performs other related duties as required.
