Tri-County Regional Centre for Education

The Tri-County Regional Centre for Education (TCRCE) encompasses the three (3) Counties of Shelburne, Yarmouth, and Digby serving approximately 6100 students in twenty-two (22) schools, composed of 13 Elementary Schools, 6 High Schools, 1 Middle School, and 2 Elementary/High Schools.

Assignment: Grades P-6 Elementary Teacher

The successful candidate will be bilingual and have a Bachelor of Education with Elementary endorsement. A Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology or equivalency with successful experience or practicum placement in elementary physical education is required. A background in music, piano, voice would also be an asset. Excellent organization skills and classroom management skills are expected. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player who values building positive relationships with students and staff in a fully inclusive environment 

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certification
• Bachelor of Education – Elementary
• University education in Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, or Physical Education

• French major at university and/or extended period of immersion in French speaking environment and/or attendance at primary and secondary where French was the language of instruction.

• Values working alongside those with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Demonstrated ability to value the voice and contribution of others while remaining open to corrective criticism.
• Completion of WHMIS and First Aid, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
