Description:

The Principal is the instructional and operational leader of the school, responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing learning environment where all students and staff can thrive. The Principal provides strategic leadership in teaching and learning, supports staff growth and development, builds strong relationships with students, families, and the broader community, and ensures the effective day-to-day management of the school in alignment with provincial policies, standards, and system priorities.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid Nova Scotia Teacher Certification
  • Masters degree directly related to the position (ILA Diploma in Instructional Leadership, Leadership, OR Educational Administration)
  • Completion of the SSRCE Aspiring School Administrators Program, NSELC ALP Program or equivalent
  • Administrative Experience P-9
  • Teaching Experience P-9
